- Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot IP-based camera systems, access control devices, and intrusion alarms in commercial environments.
- Accurately interpret and work from blueprints, riser diagrams, schematics, and scope documents.
- Ensure camera placement, field of view, cable routing, and system configuration align with project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure high-quality installation, service, and close-out.
- Maintain project documentation, daily logs, material tracking, and redlines.
- Support system commissioning and client handoff, including device labeling and programming support.
- Provide on-site mentorship to less experienced technicians when required.
- Follow all safety guidelines and site-specific protocols.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience installing and servicing low-voltage systems, with emphasis on IP video and access control.
- At least 5 years of field experience required for senior-level responsibilities.
- Proficiency in pulling and terminating low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/6, coax), mounting and aligning cameras, and configuring NVRs/VMS.
- Familiarity with system manufacturers such as Avigilon, Genetec, ExacqVision, Axis, Hanwha, Lenel, or similar.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and scope documentation.
- Strong knowledge of electronic theory, AC/DC fundamentals, and troubleshooting practices.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass background and drug screenings.
- Comfortable with travel, jobsite conditions, and working independently or as part of a team.
- Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Genetec, Avigilon, Lenel, Hanwha)
- OSHA 10 or higher certification
- Experience with IP networking or structured cabling
- Any technical degree or trade certification related to electronics or security systems
