  • Use of diagrams, blueprints, or instructions to fit, tack and weld product.
  • Operation of Press Brake, Punch Break and other fabricating equipment.
  • Identify serviceable vs. non-serviceable parts during the assembly process.
  • Follow procedural guidelines during the fitting/welding process.
  • Proper use of power and manual tools.
  • Proper use of calibrated gauges, power and manual torquing devices.
Skills and Competencies * Technical Capacity
  • Proven skills in Tig Welding, including stainless steel.
  • Proven skills in welding with GMAW, FCAW and/or GTAW processes
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted best practices and theory.
  • Good mechanical skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of shop use of measuring devices.
  • Basic knowledge of quantitative methods/statistical procedures and graphic skills.
  • Communication Proficiency
  • Organization Skills
  • Time Management
Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment:The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to Two years of related experience.
