- Design and implement lesson or unit structures that are clear, logical, and transparent
- Foster a positive and constructive learning environment in the math classroom
- Collaborate with teachers from other subject areas to plan and implement interdisciplinary study
- Guide and support students as they make connections to Franklin’s applied learning philosophy
- Display a commitment to diversity and create a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging in approach to teaching and learning, as they are recognized and valued by Franklin
- Franklin faculty members are expected to share their expertise and passions related to both academic and non-academic areas, to enrich the school community through contributions to the skills, micro-courses, and electives programs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education or Mathematics required
- Master’s Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education or Mathematics strongly recommended
- At least two year’s prior teaching experience in a Middle or Upper School setting
- Experience teaching AP Statistics highly preferred
- Experience with thoughtful technology integration in a Mathematics class
- Experience teaching to a range of learners
- Eager to contribute positively to the Franklin community
- Willingness to engage with and learn from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences
- $60,000-$100,000/year
- Commensurate with experience and education
