LocumJobsOnline is working with Wellhart, LLC to find a qualified Urgent Care PA in Erie, Pennsylvania, 16509!About The PositionWe are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 36-day locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania, starting Jan 1, 2026. This role requires coverage of day shifts, Monday through Sunday, 8am to 8pm, providing care to patients of all ages in a dynamic practice setting.Job Details

  • Provider Type Needed: Urgent Care Physician Assistant
  • Schedule: Monday through Sunday, 8am-8pm; full-time (12+ shifts/month) or part-time (10+ shifts/month)
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Independently provide urgent care services to patients of all ages
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries
  • Perform orthopedic procedures such as splinting
  • Provide wound care including suturing, incision and drainage
  • Interpret X-rays and EKGs
  • Perform phlebotomy, IV placements, and injections
  • Document all encounters using Epic EMR
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable clinical protocols and regulations
Additional Information
  • Minimum 2 years of urgent care experience or 1 year of emergency medicine experience required
  • Must be comfortable treating all age groups, including pediatrics
  • Pennsylvania state license, DEA, and CSR required
  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Must be able to work independently
  • NPDB self-query (no more than 30 days old) required for consideration
  • Drug screen and background check completed within the past 12 months required upon offer
