Provide financial guidance to allow proper business decisions to be made. Standard cost analysis, productivity, capital. Margin analysis, financial reporting, and vendor managementWill be responsible for York location of Hain Celestial manufacturing Parmcrisp brand. Opportunity to cross train in finance department for Garden Veggie & Terra at Mountville Plant. Plants are 14 miles apart.Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, food safety and quality, cost and GMP standards in a high-speed manufacturing environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Establishes financial direction and policy for the entire operation, while acting as a Change Agent, requiring the ability to manage continuous improvement initiatives across all departments and levels
  • Cross train with Mountville Plant controller and assistant controller to standardize reporting between both plants. Up to 25% of role after initial ramp up period in York is complete.
  • Ensure costs are properly recorded and meet GAAP requirements and oversees closing processes for various financial periods
  • Ownership of all Capital and Productivity projects at York location
  • Develop the Plant budget and track actual results versus budget
  • Develop Quarterly forecasts and track actual results versus budget
  • Close interaction with production team to validate labor and overhead on skus
  • Ownership of all Plant billings and vendor management. Will need to work closely with AP & Indirect procurement to maintain COUPA payment system.
  • Analyzes new products for costs and margin. Will be large portion of position for first year or two. Need to work closely with brand team
  • Maintain data integrity of PRISM system for cost centers, accounts, copacker information, sku data, bill of materials and any offline data reconciliations.
  • Collaborates with Plant Management in determining costs of new products and analyzing the cost benefit of potential Capital projects.
  • Inputs all physical inventory count results and prepare variance analysis.
  • Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiate action, as necessary.

  • Other duties and analysis as needed
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a cost accounting/financial analysis/ accounting capacity or related role in a
manufacturing environmentSupervisory Responsibilities
  • No direct reports
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
  • Four-year college degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, financial and internal controls, and standard cost accounting.
  • Experience with plant information systems and knowledge of capabilities and application to accounting and business functions.
  • Must be able to multitask and serve the needs of a variety of department functions.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization and across other functional areas.
  • Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters is required.
  • Familiar with PRISM and JD Edwards accounting software
  • Ability to work with the public and employees in a tactful and friendly manner.
  • Ability to utilize time management, work under a tight schedule and meet timing deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure, react appropriately under constantly changing priorities with numerous interruptions.
  • Ability to meet attendance guidelines.
  • Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with all contacts both inside and outside the company.
  • Understanding of basic principles of the SQF program and other food safety policies/procedures
Compensation and Benefits:
