  • 40 hours per week, Day Shift
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Maintenance Mechanic Lead will lead trade staff and perform maintenance, refurbishment, and repair of Harborview Medical Center Facilities and equipment
  • Be a part of a team dedicated to supporting UW Medicine where Patients Are First
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Schedule and direct the work of trades staff
  • Perform the work of Maintenance Mechanic 2 and other skilled trades workers in preventative and corrective maintenance such as loaded sprinkler heads, room closures, HVAC, remove/replace or install all types of filters, air, potable water, process water etc.
  • Work with other trade leads and shops with large jobs and preventative maintenance like chiller maintenance, cooling tower maintenance, eye wash and shower annuals, and lighting corrective maintenance
  • Process customer requests; initiate and assign work orders to Maintenance Mechanics and other workers as needed
  • Review work performed and direct staff on making any necessary corrections
  • Collaborate with Facilities Managers, Director of Facilities, Custodial Supervisor and in scheduling units for preventative maintenance, repairs, or installs
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  • One year's full-time experience as a Maintenance Mechanic II, journey-level trades worker, or equivalent. Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license may be required.
  • Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
