Directly supervises DC Operations Supervisors and oversees multiple functions within the distribution center. Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with business partners. Communicates regularly with corporate brand partners.Primary Duties & Responsibilities: (List what are the main tasks)
  • Partners with members of the core DC management team to identify key opportunities to improve throughput and efficiencies.
  • Works closely with brand and business partners at other locations and communicates regularly with leadership to coordinate activities, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Monitors costs associated to productivity, reviews forecasts, analyzes production reports, identifies trends, and anticipates needs. Adjusts staffing levels accordingly. Takes action to ensure SLA's and performance objectives are met.
  • Manages workflow of product to support multiple product lines and brands. Identifies and implements improvements for space utilization.
  • Monitors productivity and works towards establishing key performance metrics.
  • Enforces company policies and procedures. Administers disciplinary action, as needed. Partners with Human Resources on employee related issues. Promotes a safe work environment.
  • Abides by state and federal laws. Ensures employee compliance with company policies.
Working Relationships/Key Stakeholders:
  • Reports to Sr. Manager, Operations
  • Supports, and interacts with, ADC Operations, Inventory Control, and Production teams
  • Collaborates with other employees and departments toward common goals and objectives
Financial Accountability (budget/sales etc) - if applicable
  • Inventory levels, maintaining inventory accuracy level of 99.5%
  • Monthly labor hours for department
  • Service levels, being within all Service Level Agreements (SLA's) for their department
Qualifications: (List required or desired education; competencies; experiences; soft & hard skills)
  • 5-7 years of distribution and warehousing operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain management or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Operations Management experience
  • Prior brand relationship experience
  • Previous Budget/P&L responsibility
  • Proven leadership skills with an ability to drive results
  • Project management skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills to manage brand relationships
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence others.
  • Proficient in MS Office and WMS
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs and regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch on a concrete floor
