Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience and is familiar with accounting software, QuickBooks, and Excel.Responsibilities:Follow standard bookkeeping policies and procedures.Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process and deposits.Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct account, supplier’s ledger, customer ledger and general ledger.Bring the books to balance and perform partial checks of the posting process.Maintain records of financial transactions by posting and verifying on grant trackers.Enter data, maintain records, and create reports.Process accounts receivable/payable as needed.Monitor for variances from the projected budgets.Monitor financial transactions and reports and advise management on compliance needs.Assist in financial activities such as running payroll and generating invoices.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.Work with an accountant when necessary.Requirements:Accounting DegreeMust have demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows and familiarity with QuickBooks, and Excel.2-5 years’ of proven bookkeeping experienceExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.Analytical and data entry skills along with a knack for numbersHands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary softwareHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detail is of utmost importance.High comfort level working in a diverse environment.Must be 18 years or older.Classification: Salaried/Non-exempt, $50,000 -$54,000/yrHours: Full Time, M-FPowered by JazzHR
