Senior Field Service Technician

- Serve as a professional company representative, delivering excellent customer service in line with company values.
- Submit accurate field reports, expense documentation, and timesheets daily.
- Take the lead in job planning, execution, and coordination to meet project objectives.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior and new technicians.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot engine and compressor malfunctions independently and accurately.
- Oversee and execute complex rebuilds and overhauls of compressors, engines, and controls in various field conditions.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of electrical systems, controls, and unit control panels (Murphy, Altronic, Allen Bradley).
- Conduct precise engine tuning for performance and emissions optimization across major OEM brands (CAT, Waukesha).
- Respond to emergency service calls and recurring mechanical issues as needed.
- Independently manage new equipment installations, commissioning, and startup processes.
- Conduct mechanical inspections using specialized tools such as micrometers and digital diagnostic devices.
- Participate in on-call rotations for emergency repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or GED; advanced vocational/technical training preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant field experience.
- Certifications from CAT/Waukesha or equivalent, including:
- CAT Gas I & II
- CAT Electrical
- Ariel Basic & Mechanical
- CAT 3500 ADEM III
- CAT 3500 ULB
- Waukesha VHP
- CAT 3600 ADEM III
- CAT 3600 Master Mechanic
- CAT Failure Analysis
- Waukesha 9390
- Must stay current with all relevant OEM training.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crouching.
- Regularly lifting/moving up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs with proper lifting techniques.
