- Provides HR guidance to business units using HR knowledge, expertise, and approach.
- Partners with business unit managers to develop effective Human Resources strategies on the department, team and individual level.
- Collaborates with managers to proactively identify issues and determine optimal application of HR strategies and resources.
- In conjunction with senior HR team members, consult with business leaders on how to manage changes and business transitions including planning, organizational design and development, process improvement, and critical paths.
- Establishes close working relationships to understand business objectives and requirements to assist in the timely delivery of people related solutions.
- Consults with all levels of business unit management to develop and implement HR initiatives that will allow managers to meet their business objectives.
- Acts as a liaison between the business unit and HR Centers of Expertise (COE’s) to ensure that HR services are aligned with internal client needs.
- Provides expertise for basic to moderate issues; determines when to escalate and/or seek advice from HR leadership.
- Maintains current professional level knowledge of legal requirements and state and federal regulations that impact human resources functions.
- Contributes to the business strategy by helping business leaders to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes.
- Provides advice, guidance and information on HR matters to business unit managers to support decision making.
- Assists in facilitation of long-term initiatives aligned with the strategic agenda.
- Contributes to the development of HR plans to ensure the business needs of relevant business groups are appropriately understood and represented.
- Partners with HR colleagues to improve processes within the organization to increase the level and quality of service provided to the business units.
Knowledge of
- Principles, practices, and procedures of human resources administration.
- Legal requirements and federal and state regulations and their impact on human resource issues.
- Company’s working structure, competitive strengths, industry dynamics, profit levers, customers, and competitors.
- Statistical methods and concepts and other analytical tools used in human resource process.
- Facilitation and presentation methods and techniques.
- Microsoft Office Suit and workday experience is preferred
- Communication and influencing, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Creating and maintaining relationships with HR specialist and consultants to ensure that agreed levels of effective service are delivered.
- Analyzing and presenting data and information to various managers or leadership teams enabling sound business decisions.
- Contributing as a member of the broader HR team.
- Maintain knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends.
- Use initiative, determination and excellent consultative skills in order to identify problems in the early stages and provide solutions or suggestions.

- Keep all appropriate parties up-to-date on decisions, changes, and other relevant information and articulate reasons behind decisions.
Education/Previous Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of professional human resources experience, including a minimum of three (3) years experience in client consulting~or~
- Minimum of 10 years of professional human resources experience, including a minimum of three (3) years experience in client consulting.
