Responsibilities
- Technical Support - Leads technical support and service in the installation and testing of software, patches, and upgrades to system products. Resolves complex problems and failures that occur in assigned products and technical facilities. Responsible for administration, communication, and documentation throughout technical support activities. Designs, implements, and maintains processes, including disaster recovery functions, related to the print infrastructure.
- System Testing – Coordinates print-related hardware and software testing to determine function, results, stability, performance, and resource consumption. Plans and verifies the successful implementation of software, firmware, patches, and upgrades. Performs a variety of planning and technical activities to ensure stability of the print infrastructure.
- System Enhancement - Works to continuously monitor and improve systems, processes, and related technical infrastructure. Improves technical effectiveness by automating tasks to perform support duties. May utilize Batch, PowerShell, HP & KM software tools and utilities and Windows administrator functions, depending on the platform.
- Technical Expertise - Maintains a strong knowledge base through ongoing research and education. Communicates effective and clear technical information to associates, vendor support personnel, and internal clients. Manages special or advanced technical projects. Provides guidance, mentorship, and leadership to less experienced associates in the work
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
- License or Certification Type: HP Print, Konica Minolta Print, Toshiba Print, Microsoft, Project Management
- Required Areas of Experience:
- Windows Operating Systems (Desktop & Server), Printer security configurations and vulnerability remediation, Printer firmware testing and deployment, Advanced troubleshooting of print related issues, Windows Server print share management, Coordination of printer hardware refresh processes, Extensive knowledge of Desktop & Windows system support, Exposure to Desktop & Server Virtualization technologies, Extensive knowledge of MS Office products with advanced knowledge with Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Preferred Areas of Experience:
- Familiarity desired with the following technologies: HP Print/Scan hardware & Print Software, HP Web JetAdmin, HP Jet Advantage Security Manager, HP Access Control, HP Capture and Route, Konica Minolta Hardware and Print Software, Configuration Management and automation tools, Knowledge in Directory and Authentication services, Knowledge of PowerBI or Enterprise Reporting Frameworks, Exposure to Business Continuity Processes, Working knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, JavaScript, etc., Understanding of data flow, network interfaces, and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS and NetBEUI, Knowledge of database fundamentals, applications tuning tools, and multi-platform programs such as DB2, SQL Server, and Oracle, Ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
