Whether you are a teacher, an administrator, or a potential support staff employee, if you want to make a difference, we want to hear from you.Job SummaryThe Zone Manager will manage the maintenance and repair activities of Facility & Grounds Maintenance Zone comprised of 20-30 school buildings supported by a zone team of multiple trades' craftsmen: • Prioritize requests for services, estimate labor hours, and assign work to appropriate trade craftsmen within the zone team• Expedite emergency requests • Coordinate and manage all zone special projects and renovations in coordination with external organizations and the customer • Oversee the performance of outside contractors for quality and workmanship, billing and timelines of workWhat you will do
- Facility & Grounds Department primary single point of contact for customers in maintenance zone for all facility maintenance actions
- Manage the labor and equipment resources of the zone to effectively and efficiently complete routine and preventive maintenance tasks, trouble calls, project work and incident response
- Manage and execute administrative personnel actions of zone staff to include but not limited to input into the time and attendance automated system and administration of the union contract, and input and update to the work management system for the areas of responsibility
- Manages compliance with applicable Federal, State, Local and MNPS regulations, codes and safety rules
- Provide continuous life-cycle analysis of all MNPS buildings systems and equipment within maintenance zone for the purpose of evaluating and recommending options such as repair, replace, etc., to Facility & Grounds Department to prevent excessive deferred maintenance backlogs

- Assist and coordinate with the Construction Department with the design and planning of new buildings and renovation of existing spaces, etc.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business Management, or equivalent experience Preferred
- Preference will also be given to candidates with 5 years of experience supervising multiple skill trades, preferably in a public school setting Preferred
- DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Required
Starting At: $68,976.66Salaries are determined by factors relevant to the position which may include education, experience, and other qualifications. Final compensation decisions are made at the discretion of MNPS in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference. All provided salary ranges serve as a general guideline.
