Responsibilities
- Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.
- Provide cross functional troubleshooting support to production lines.
- Evaluates, selects, and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products.
- Oversees the development, installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues.
- Studies equipment performance and reliability.
- Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.
- May instruct, coach, or provide informal guidance to other professionals or colleagues with less experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 8 years of product manufacturing experience
- At least 1 year of lead experience
- Master’s degree
- At least 6 years of product manufacturing experience
- At least 1 year of lead experience
- At least 10 years of product manufacturing experience
- At least 1 year of lead experience
Desired Skills
- Experience with the following – Fanuc Robotics, Siemens PLC’s
- Experience with the following vision systems– Fanuc IRVision, Keyence, and Cognex
- Experience with setting up and modifying SQL databases
- Experience with Ignition SCADA system
- Prior experience with MES (manufacturing execution systems) controls
- Experience with AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles)
- Experience designing and installing medium and low voltage power distribution systems
- Willing to travel internationally
