- Define, maintain, and evolve the enterprise data architecture roadmap in alignment with business priorities and IT strategy.
- Document and enforce enterprise data standards, naming conventions, and architectural principles.
- Participate in strategic planning for data infrastructure modernization and platform expansion.
- Design and implement scalable, secure data integrations and APIs using MuleSoft and internal middleware.
- Develop transformation logic and mapping specifications across systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, and Reltio.
- Optimize and manage ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration workflows to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Build and manage master data management (MDM) and governance frameworks, with tools such as Reltio.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define and implement data ownership, stewardship, and quality standards.
- Ensure metadata management, lineage tracking, and reference data harmonization across the enterprise.
- Security, Compliance & Lifecycle Management.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, legal, and security teams to ensure data compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, FERPA, HIPAA).
- Develop and enforce data lifecycle policies for retention, archival, and purging.
- Conduct data audits, risk assessments, and remediation planning as needed.
- Actively contribute to project execution, including design, development, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Support issue resolution related to data flows, APIs, integrations, or system connectivity.
- Ensure that data and integration solutions are well-documented, scalable, and supportable.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Operations teams to align data flows with business requirements.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly terms.
- Provide guidance and best practices to teams working with data or reporting platforms.
- Provide oversight to vendor teams, contractors, or junior data engineers during project execution as required.
- Enable self-service reporting and analytics by ensuring clean, accessible, and well-structured data for platforms like Domo, Power BI, and Tableau.
- Partner with data analysts and business users to support operational and strategic dashboards.
- Promote data literacy and usage of analytics tools across departments.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and technologies to enhance data management and integration capabilities.
- Lead or participate in proof-of-concept initiatives for new data tools or platforms.
- Establish best practices and drive adoption of modern data architecture patterns.
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, integration, or ETL/ELT roles
- Strong track record of successful delivery across cloud-based ecosystems and business applications
- Proven experience working with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, MuleSoft, and Reltio
- Expertise in data modeling, system integration design, API development, and transformation logic
- Proficiency with modern data tools, including Domo, Power BI, or Tableau for reporting and visualization
- Fluency in SQL and experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and job orchestration tools
- Understanding of MDM concepts, metadata, data quality, and governance frameworks
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate between business and technical audiences
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
