- Reports to: Director of Finance/Controller
- Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 annually
- Full-time position with a reputable law firm in Houston, Texas
- Opportunity to work with a collaborative team and gain experience in public entity representation
- Primary responsibility is to process accounts payable invoices and expenses accurately and efficiently
- Review and reconcile vendor statements, ensuring timely payments
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment discrepancies
- Assist with month-end close processes related to accounts payable
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software
- Previous experience in accounts payable or similar role
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Experience with financial systems and data entry
- Strong accounting and/or finance background required - 3-5 years AP experience in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in a law firm environment and/or with Partnership accounting preferred but not required
- Experience with Quickbooks Online (QBO) required
- Must possess a strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Comfortable learning new technology
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Able to meet deadlines with strict attention to details
- Comfortable working autonomously but within a team
