Automation Personnel Services is looking for motivated individuals to join a dynamic team as a Installation Specialist. The Installation Specialist is responsible for the delivery, installation, and pickup of furniture, housewares, and electronics, while maintaining accurate inventory and paperwork. This role ensures warehouse organization and proper furniture processing, contributing to operational efficiency. With a focus on customer satisfaction, the specialist provides seamless setups and exceptional service that directly impact the company’s reputation.Pay Rate
$17.00 - 20.00 an hour, based on experienceShiftMonday – Friday8am – 5pm (times subject to change due to business needs and customer demands)Installation Specialist / Driver Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and install furniture, housewares, and electronics to ensure rooms are visually balanced and move-in ready, including hanging artwork, setting tables, vacuuming, and connecting electronics.
- Deliver and pick up goods in a safe, timely manner while maintaining exceptional customer service and accurate completion of all required paperwork (e.g., Pronto Forms, Load Lists, Route Sheets).
- Load and secure inventory based on load lists and maintain a clean, organized warehouse by properly labeling, storing, and cleaning all items, including weekly area upkeep and upholstery care.
- Ensure DOT compliance and vehicle maintenance, including scheduling preventative maintenance and keeping trucks in safe working order.
- Collaborate with team members on inventory counts, warehouse organization, and walk-thru follow-ups while communicating issues or hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Must have experience moving furniture and basic computer skills, including typing and navigating databases.
- Must be able to successfully pass an MVR.
- Preferred candidates will have experience with moving and installing commercial spaces.
- Strong communication skills required, including the ability to follow instructions, speak clearly on the phone, and use proper grammar in English.
- Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, walk up and down stairs frequently, and move furniture for extended periods.
- Coachable attitude with the ability to understand instructions, perform basic math, and contribute positively to a team environment.
