Position Summary: Facility Maintenance Direct HireWe are seeking a reliable and hard-working Facility Maintenance Crew Member to join our team. This role is responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of both the interior and exterior areas of the hospital. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks throughout the facility
- General landscaping and groundskeeping, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and seasonal planting
- Snow and ice removal during winter months
- Trash collection and disposal from interior and exterior areas
- Replace light bulbs and perform other minor electrical maintenance
- Assist with basic plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks as needed
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address facility issues
- Follow safety protocols and infection control procedures at all times
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hospital departments
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1+ years of experience in general maintenance, landscaping, or related field preferred
- Ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a healthcare environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Daytime weekday schedule – No weekends!
