Maintenance Mechanic & Electrician - Job descriptionJob Summary
We are looking to hire an experienced maintenance mechanic/electrician. As a maintenance electrician, you will be required to conduct general maintenance inspections and repairs, perform routine electrical maintenance, respond to faults and wiring issues, and install major electrical appliances for the building.Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Troubleshooting system failures
  • Testing of electrical systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance to mechanical and electrical devices
  • Repair broken or faulty machine parts
  • Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical & electrical systems including PLC’s, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, seals, gears, chains, sprockets, pipes, pumps, gear boxes.
  • Execute appropriate lubrication of mechanical systems
  • Provide support for emergency or unplanned mechanical repairs
  • Troubleshoot basic to complex mechanical and electrical issues
  • Record and submit accurate work order data and parts usage using the CMMS
  • Additional duties as assigned
Skills Required:
  • Proven work experience as a mechanic and an electrician
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in reading and comprehension of equipment manuals, schematics, and diagrams, blueprints
  • Able to stick and tig weld mild steel and stainless steel and pass D1.1 weld test
  • Able to use cutting tools such as plasma cuter and oxy torch
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, bobcat, and chain hoist
  • Is self-directed and can work independently
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy loads
Other Expectations
  • Hours 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. M-F
  • Willing to be on call on a rotating basis including weekends
  • Must have own basic tools
Note: This is not an entry-level position. Previous experience as a Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician or similar role is required.We offer competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
