- Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or related engineering.
- At least three to five or more years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong foundation in lean manufacturing practices.
- Knowledge in welding, machining and sheet metal fabrication.
- Must be detail-orientated, organized, and have strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Demonstrate a high aptitude for troubleshooting technical issues and proposing solutions during product development.
- Proficient in basic mechanical and electrical principles, with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Communicate, in English, effectively and clearly by both written and verbal means.
- Work effectively with fellow employees and independently.
- Familiarity with engineering software.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Dependability under both supervised and unsupervised conditions.
- Lead the refinement of manufacturing processes to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate daily with operations leaders to review performance data, new issues or challenges to resolve, and communicate the progress of pending activities.
- Attend and participate in various meetings in a proactive, professional, and purposeful manner.
- Dedicate time to walking, observing and supporting site processes.
- If necessary, use the company's different systems and applications to document the process, resolve problems or develop improvements.
- Review the key performance indicators of business processes to identify trends, risks or opportunities.
- Send progress reports on engineering tasks and projects.
- The main working condition will be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
- While in areas of operations, employees must wear correct PPE – earplugs, protective eye wear, steel-toed boots, and other work provided uniform
- May be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions in areas of operations.
- The employee may occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise. Appropriate safety measures will be available in these occurrences.
- The employee will be expected to practice and maintain safe working conditions.
