So if you want to be challenged in an exciting and fast-paced environment, this is the place for you.Job Summary:As a Systems Administrator, you will maintain, upgrade, and provide software, hardware, and network support. The Systems Administrator will diagnose and resolve problems quickly and be available to respond to support requests after hours. You should be able to easily communicate technical concerns and solutions to many people with varying degrees of technical knowledge and work with individuals in all departments to help solve their technical issues. You will also be responsible for maintaining our system infrastructure, including firewalls, computer equipment, disaster and recovery plan, network security, installing and rebuilding existing servers, and other processes. This position's starting salary is $47,000.Essential Functions:
  • Foster an environment that embodies Bally’s Born to Entertain philosophy by creating a fun-filled, entertaining atmosphere
  • Enthusiastically promote Bally’s customer-centric culture of offering superior guest service and actively building long-lasting guest relations
  • Assist in the design, coordination, and installation of IT solutions
  • Ensure a superior level of user service, and satisfaction is achieved and maintained throughout the IT support staff and property
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge and address system issues of all applications in use at the property
  • Identify solutions and complete repair programs to maximize systems uptime
  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot PCs, laptops, printers, and other peripherals for end-users
  • Work with vendors on troubleshooting and resolution of issues
  • Troubleshoot TCP/IP, LAN/WAN connectivity, switching, and routing
  • Administration of Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
  • Administration of multiple VM environments
  • Act as a technical authority and role model within the team
  • Understand the goals and vision of the organization and demonstrate commitment to those goals in terms of individual and team performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board
  • High school or equivalent required
  • Required two-year degree in computer engineering, MIS, or degree related to the electronics field with an emphasis in computer technologies, or equivalent of two years working in the computer field or technology department specializing in computer systems hardware/software repair and customer service
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Server and workstation operating systems
  • Experience with VMware and vCenter
  • Experience with PCI regulations and security policies
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires visual acuity to perform close-up activities
  • Requires manual dexterity to operate a keyboard and other IT hardware
