
Senior Modeling and Simulation Specialist

- Provide advanced network analysis to support identification of transnational criminal and terrorist organizations.
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to build relationship-based network models and identify hidden communities and threats.
- Utilize and enhance tools for intelligence analysis, predictive modeling, and threat identification.
- Conduct social network analysis and apply graph-based techniques for visualization and analysis of intelligence data.
- Work collaboratively with intelligence analysts and technical teams to support targeting rule development and threat detection.
- Support intelligence-driven special operations by delivering analytic insights and simulation outputs.
- Prepare documentation and presentations to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences, including CBP officers.
- Incorporate uncertainty analysis in modeling processes to enhance decision-making accuracy
- Min 8 years with BS/BA, Min 6 years with MS/MA, Min 3 years with PhD
- Experience in modeling and simulation, predictive analytics, or intelligence analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in relationship identification, community detection, and threat modeling.
- Proficiency in DataRobot and Amazon Cloud capabilities (e.g., Sagemaker Studio)
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, and MapReduce.
- Experience working in secure or classified environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to both technical and operational stakeholders.
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS CBP Suitability.
- DOD Top Secret security clearance required (DHS CBP preferred).
- CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect -- Associate or Professional (or equivalent cloud certs)
- AWS Cloud Practitioner
- Certified Modeling & Simulation Professional (CMSP)
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with intelligence operations, especially within DHS or similar agencies.
- Experience in Social Network Analysis and use of open-source/COTS tools for network modeling.
- Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Model (LLM) tools and techniques.
- Experience in live, constructive, or virtual simulation environments.
- Background in law enforcement, military operations, or homeland security.
- SAFe Agilist / SAFe DevOps Practitioner
- Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
- Machine Learning Certifications (e.g., AWS Machine Learning Specialty, Coursera ML, or similar)
- Python or R Specialist Certificates (e.g., PCEP, PCAP, DataCamp)
- MATLAB Certification
- Digital Engineering or MBSE credentials (e.g., OMG SysML Model Builder)
