Working across a spectrum of disciplines that range from creative and conceptual to scientific and technical, Imagineers blend an innovative mixture of storytelling, art, science and technology to create immersive experiences, memorable destinations, and innovative entertainment for families around the globe.The approximate date of this internship is January through June 2026 and will be located in Anaheim, California.What You Will DoAs a Construction Management Intern you will, under supervision, be responsible for handling project construction efforts ranging from a small scope on a project to multiple highly sophisticated portfolio of diverse projects. The intern may act as a point of contact with construction vendors and contractors. They may provide technical expertise and help handle internal relationships within various departments, as well as external vendors and contractor relationships. You will assist in delivering projects in accordance with budget, schedule, quality and safety. This individual may regularly collaborate with creative, technical, engineering and construction teams in delivery efforts throughout the life of the project. You will have the opportunity to:
  • Handle an entire scope of a small project or a specific scope of work (i.e., guest rooms, small improvement projects, graphics, FF&A, restaurant, retail etc.) which is self-contained and definable, within financial parameters and to high-quality standards of the team
  • Coordinate, schedule and lead Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) via pre-pour/pre-cover inspections
  • Familiarize yourself and understand the Construction Management (CM) roles, responsibilities and standard practices
  • Shadow employees to observe Structural and Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) coordination, installation and close-out procedures
  • Determine a need for critical, time sensitive issue(s) that require multiple design team involvement, then schedule and facilitate a meeting(s) to come to resolution on the issue(s)
  • Work closely with various trades to gain a better understanding of design, comprehension and implementation of Framing/MEP drawings
  • Gain exposure to other miscellaneous construction management responsibilities such as: document control, RFI, submittals, punch-list planning and schedule tracking
  • Make recommendations for product and people conflict resolution and problem solving on project within their scope
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Understanding of the Project Development process
  • Understanding of scheduling, budgeting and quality control
  • Expanded computer proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous related experience in a professional work setting
Education
  • Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university earning a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.

  • Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program

  • Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work
  • Must be fully available for the duration of the internship
The pay rate for this role in California is $30 per hour for undergraduate students, $35 per hour for graduate students.
