- Business Development:
- Develop new Underground opportunities in Las Vegas and Arizona
- Develop new ISP and OSP opportunities in Las Vegas and Arizona.
- Develop new business opportunities with government entities.
- Assist with contract negotiation.
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and cost estimates for underground construction projects.
- Manage the procurement process for necessary equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure design specifications are met and construction methods are appropriate for underground conditions.
- Monitor project progress against the plan, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Prioritize safety measures for all underground operations, including regular safety inspections and training for crew members.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, permits, and environmental standards related to underground construction.
- Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards in underground environments.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a team of underground construction workers, including supervisors, operators, and laborers.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
- Manage performance, address issues, and provide necessary training to ensure team efficiency.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Regularly communicate project status updates to clients, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Address concerns and resolve conflicts efficiently to maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with permits and approvals.
- Technical Expertise:
- Possess in-depth knowledge of underground construction methods, including tunneling techniques, excavation procedures, shoring systems, and utility installation practices.
- Understand and interpret geological site conditions to inform construction strategies.
- Stay updated on advancements in underground construction technology and industry best practices.
- Extensive experience in underground construction project management roles
- Strong technical knowledge of underground construction methods and safety protocols
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage diverse teams
- Ability to travel regularly between the office location in Arizona (AZ) and other project sites or company locations, including Nevada (NV), as needed. Travel may require overnight stays and flexibility in scheduling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is a PLUS
