In your new role you will:
- Be the project manager leading new IC development project teams.
- Plan, organize, and control assigned development projects for HiRel in concert with the technical lead.
- Form and lead medium complexity projects, with members inside and outside the direct work environment, with responsibility for creating and managing the team environment.
- Be responsible for project control Including; schedule, budget, resource monitoring, risk management, change management and reporting and documentation
- Solve problems in straightforward situations and suggest solutions
- Provide constructive, behavior-oriented feedback, and be reliable and open to divergent opinions, while being able to manage by influence.
- Know when to intervene in conflict situations
- Identify when to modify your management style, approach, or team environment to adapt to adverse project dynamics
- Communicate project progress, problems and status to team members, customers, and interested management effectively and confidently
- Use your solid project management knowledge to initiate, plan, control, escalate, close and report on your assigned projects.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Engineering, Project Management, or other business management discipline aligned with the semiconductor industry
- 5-6 years of work experience in hardware project development or strong project management background in a related field
- Experience in IC and discrete product development preferred
- Project management of technical projects/project teams from other industries will also be considered.
- Customer-facing experience and strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated ability in building relationships with team members from different disciplines, with respect, trust, and personal integrity
- Experience managing projects comprised of team members that are matrixed resources
- Proficiency with Microsoft office Tools - Word, Excel, Power point, Project
