Nesco Resource is hiring for a 3rd Shift Quality Control Technician in the Hickory/Newton area!General Responsibilities: The QC Technician is responsible for ensuring products meet the customer specified standards as well as the company's safety standards. This role supports the company by providing quality testing, product verification, machine calibrations, and data reporting.Essential Job Functions:
Thorough understanding of customer requirements
Collecting production samples from the production floor and performing required tests
Notifying production staff immediately of any and all out-of-specification conditions
Maintaining required retains and files in correct order and location
Maintaining copies/files of test and production data
Communicating quality issues with inter/intra-departmental staff and management
Assists with maintaining quality of cosmetic, fit, form, and function of WIP and finished goods products
Providing general analysis support to all departments, as needed
Adheres to all plant rules, policies, and procedures
Performs all other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
Keen eye for detail
High School Diploma or equivalent
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using spectrometer
Experience using multimeter rulers, calipers, and scales
Experience with color theory
Physical Demands:
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling are required
Ability to lift or move objects up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand for long periods
Required to have visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing computer and working within arm's reach
May be subject to hazards: proximity to moving forklift and stored chemicals
Must pass a color-blind test
