Through our range of institutional and retail structures, coupled with excellent client service and educational resources, we help investors diversify their portfolios with private market solutions that can deliver consistent, long-term growth.Position SummaryThis position is responsible for closing Ares Real Estate Exchange (AREX) 1031 exchange investor purchases and current investors going through the 721-exchange/UPREIT process. Role will include entity document review (trust agreements, operating agreements, etc.), closing package and loan document preparation, account transfers and redemptions, as well as other transactional aspects of Ares Real Estate Exchange program (AREX). AREX is part of Ares Wealth Management Solutions, offering a unique investment solution through financial advisors to accredited investors seeking institutional quality replacement property for a 1031 tax-deferred real estate exchange.Essential Job DutiesClose new purchases into the Ares Real Estate Exchange program and other post-closing investor transactions, including UPREITs, account transfers and redemptionsCommunicate and collaborate with financial advisors, investors, qualified intermediaries, and internal business team members to ensure a highly professional, efficient, well-executed and accurate closing processUse internal systems to track and manage transactions, important dates, and deadlines throughout the closing process for investments and UPREIT transactionsPerform and summarize background and AML checks on prospective investorsWork with the Client Services Team on AREX investor account maintenance requestsCoordinate with the loan underwriting team on closings involving debtCollaborate with the team of product sales specialists on issues effecting closings and customer relationsRequired Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesA bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience requiredA minimum of three years’ experience in one or more of the following professional areas:Transaction coordinator or closer with a 1031 exchange qualified intermediaryCommercial real estate and/or loan closings with a title company, escrow company, bank, mortgage, or real estate companyTrust company, private bank, family office or investment bank experienceFinancial services firm working with high-net-worth clientsExperience with 1031 exchanges, trust, LLC, partnership, and corporate entity documentation is preferredWorking knowledge of real estate transactions, closing statements and related documentationExcellent attention to detail and organization and time management skillsProfessional verbal and written communication skillsAbility to learn quickly and comply with company policies, procedures, operations, and industry practicesAbility to work well independently and with a teamReporting Relationships Vice President, Closing Team Manager, Ares Real Estate ExchangeCompensationThe anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.$85,000 - $100,000The firm also offers robust Benefits offerings.
