- Provide technical oversight for process engineering activities performed by an engineering team comprised of engineers and technicians.
- Mentor and promote the professional development of individual contributors by fostering a safety first, collaborative culture that focuses on employee engagement, innovation, value growth, and continuous improvement.
- Lead and schedule environmental and mechanical testing areas to meet product performance requirements for overall system reliability.
- Oversee process, procedures, and production layouts for assembly, equipment installation, and material handling.
- Engage and collaborate with program and functional organizations to obtain, understand, and interpret program resource needs to effectively meet program milestones.
- Participate in proposal activities which includes coordinating with support functions, and developing engineering basis of estimates for process development, equipment setup, procedure generation, as well as product touch and support labor.
- Assess, track, and mitigate cost and schedule risk supported by quantitative and predictive analyses.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related professional experience in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, process engineering, or related field.
- Proven leadership skills as a people and technical leader, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong familiarity with process development, 5S/lean manufacturing, and manufacturing management.
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain this level of clearance for continued employment.
- Comfortable with public speaking in front of groups
- Occasional travel may be required (typically less than 10% of the time).
- Previous responsibility leading day-to-day activities of an engineering group.
- Ability to formulate and execute complex project plans and initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, presentation, and critical thinking skills.
- Clearly demonstrated commitment to open communication and customer satisfaction.
- Experience with manufacture of electronic and electromechanical assemblies.
- Experience with environmental and mechanical testing to meet product performance requirements.
