This role is critical in transforming complex data into actionable insights that influence strategic decisions across the business. You’ll enhance Power BI dashboards, interpret market indicators, and communicate findings .What You Will Do:
  • Collect, model, and analyze large datasets to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Enhance Power BI dashboards and databases; address data connectivity and visualization gaps.
  • Translate economic and financial market indicators into business recommendations.
  • Create executive-ready PowerPoint presentations and communication materials.
  • Collaborate across global teams, driving insights without direct authority.
  • Promote semantic data capabilities using NLP, text analysis, and machine learning techniques.
  • Conduct research to optimize data models and improve analytical accuracy.
What You Will Bring:
  • Background in Data Analytics, Economics, Supply Chain, or Finance.
  • Strong Power BI skills: building, maintaining, and improving dashboards and data models.
  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly to senior leaders.
  • Self-starter mindset with accountability to a global team.
  • Proficiency in executive communication tools (PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
  • Understanding of procurement processes, supplier negotiations, and cost modeling.
  • Familiarity with machine learning, Python/R, and data visualization tools.

  • Experience working in global or cross-functional teams.
  • A blend of technical and procurement expertise.
  • Familiarity with commodities or steel market dynamics.
  • Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to influence without authority.
  • Proficiency in additional data tools such as Tableau or advanced Excel.
  • Understanding of Caterpillar’s business structure and planning cycles.

Summary Pay Range: $87,480.00 - $142,200.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
