Our success is based on utilizing proprietary manufacturing techniques to manufacture high quality complex parts through cost effective production.Given its breadth of capabilities and strong customer relationships, we have substantial content on the aviation industry's most popular aircraft.Job DescriptionThe Supervisor - Machine Shop is responsible for coordinating production activities to meet on-time delivery and quality for machined components. This includes a variety of activities, such as teambuilding, manpower management, employee training, and technical troubleshooting. In addition, this role will coordinate with multiple support resources including Production Control, Lean Coordinator, Machining Process Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance.What will my responsibilities include?
Establish and meet goals for On-time Delivery (for shifts), Utilization, Efficiency, and Scrap
Establish and ensure robust processes and procedures are in place and being followed
Ownership of area regarding safety, organization, & cleanliness, and consumption of supplies
Manpower Management
Initiate Employment Requisitions (Addition or Replacement)
Conduct interviews, correspond feedback to HR, if applicable submit offer details to HR
Employee Reviews and Corrective Actions
Manager Manpower chart
Selection, Training, and Management of Leads
Assist Production Manager in upkeep of Manpower chart
Communicate goals and info to your team via Toolbox meetings and weekly meetings.
Develop and maintain a cross training plan for stability, position vacancies and succession planning.
Develop and maintain strong team
Find Improvement Opportunities
Active in Maintenance Activities. Conduct PM's on-time and at high quality
Recommend improvements to Systems & Procedures
Assist in the upkeep of communication boards regarding Manpower, Efficiency, Scrap, etc.
Approval of MRR dispositions
Ensure Daily Completion of Downtime Log
SyteLine Time approval for payroll
Oversight of SyteLine job collection transactions

QualificationsPreferred:
Level 5 Machinist or higher, 2 years experience within company
Leadership Experience, Leadership Training
Solid understanding in GD&T, Corrective Action Processes, Engineering Drawings, Problem Solving Skills

Shift Premiums for Weekend Shifts - work 33 hours, paid for 40 (weekend night shift) or work 36 hours, paid for 40 (weekend day shift)
Shift Differentials - $4.00 per hour (weekday night shift), $2.00 per hour (weekend day shift), $4.00 per hour (weekend night shift)
