Job Description:OverviewAccountable for the quality of all nursing care provided within the assigned Hospital or facility/facilities. Provides leadership as the patient care executive responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions/services within the facility. Provides direction, leadership, organization, and general management for all employees and other eligible individuals within the organization in accordance with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN) Practice Act and Cherokee Nation Health Services (CNHS) mission, vision, and values.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university; no substitutions. Master's degree preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in a related field.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Must possess and maintain a license as a Registered Nurse, issued by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or a multi-state license accepted by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
  • Must obtain BLS within ninety (90) days of hire and maintain throughout employment.
  • Must obtain ACLS within one hundred and eighty (180) days of hire and maintain throughout employment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
  • Required to meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
