Sirius Staffing is seeking a Packaging/Forklift Operator in the Blair, NE area. This role offers a full-time, long-term opportunity with a leading chemical manufacturer. As a Packaging Operator/Forklift, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, responsible for a range of duties including operating forklifts, performing packaging tasks, and supporting the overall logistics of our supply chain.Our client seeks candidates with a proven track record of longevity in their work history.$22.71/hr + Benefits Offered | PTO & Holiday paySchedule: 12-hour rotating day shifts 7a-7p, with 2 days on, 3 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off.The first week of training, M-F 7:00-430Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials and products
  • Perform packaging tasks such as sorting, labeling, and preparing orders for shipment
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counting
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse environment
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and quality assurance standards
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize the flow of materials and products
  • This position requires working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, with the ability to lift to 50 pounds and operate machinery, such as forklifts
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment
  • Demonstrated skills in warehouse operations, including housekeeping, load/unload, logistics, and shipping/receiving
  • Ability to work efficiently and pay close attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one
