With a 200-year legacy and a shared passion for what’s next, this is the right place to build a fulfilling career.The Events Strategy Specialist (ESS) role sits within the Capital Partners Marketing and Sales Enablement team and reports to the Events Strategy Manager (ESM). As an ESS you will support the ESM in devising Line of Business (LOB) wide events/sponsorships strategy, and coordinating and executing BBH hosted client, prospect and intermediary events (i.e. seminars, receptions, client hospitality), including event plans, content, talent, budgeting and oversight of logistics.In this role, you will work closely with Event Planning, Creative Services and Systems, as well as front office teams – both pre, during and post event – to ensure that the event strategy is successfully delivered and supports the business objectives.
  • You will also assist the ESM in creating, implementing, and reinforcing best practices and procedures to help front office teams create and execute on events/sponsorships plans that aid in business development efforts of Private Banking. The ESS will also support the ESM in tracking office events/sponsorships budgets closely and providing reports on spending, as well as metrics on new business affiliated with events/sponsorships.

  • Working with the ESM to help front office teams to design, create and execute on a series of events (both in-person and virtual) which support their business development plans and accomplish their events goals. Support of the ESM includes, but is not limited to the following:
  • Creating and managing plans and budgets
  • Collaborating with Event Planning to secure venues
  • Liaising with front office teams on list creation and management and communications
  • Securing internal and external speakers
  • Working with Creative Services on invitations and other collateral
  • Partnering with Event Planning on logistics such as venues, catering and décor
  • Executing events on-site as appropriate, some may require local and domestic travel
  • Managing the master events calendar
  • RSVP and metrics reporting
  • Assisting the ESM in developing and executing on events that are compliant, support the goals of CP, and deliver a high-quality experience.
  • Working with the ESM to foster collaboration across PB business areas in an effort to enable multi-product relationships and ultimately help drive growth. This may include targeted communications to specific PB teams, individual conversations with, or suggestions for, key leaders or broader messaging through email and weekly CP meetings.
  • Working with the ESM to maintain and onboard any software tools we opt to use to streamline the event planning and execution process
  • Working with the ESM to design and maintain measures and metrics to understand the impact and effectiveness of events, sponsorships and the use of marketing spend to better leverage budget and plan.
  • Supporting the ESM in working with front office teams to identify, evaluate and execute on sponsorships that are compliant and support the business development goals of CP. This includes coordinating with Creative Services for ad design, working directly with the sponsored organization for documentation and payment processing, sourcing appropriate LOB leader and compliance approvals, and tracking spend against budget.
  • Providing support to the CP Marketing team for projects on an ad hoc basis. This may include collateral design review and proof reading, special internal event development and execution, and other projects to be determined.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in either event planning or the financial services industry
  • Experience with Private Wealth Management preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work with VIP clients and senior management; ability to collaborate exceptionally well across products, groups and lines of business
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work on multiple events and sponsorships while meeting deadlines
  • Able to perform long-range tasks while handling short-term interruptions
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; CRM systems; Event Planning systems
  • Knowledge of Marketo and Monday.com is a plus
  • Highly effective service and relationship management
