We are looking for self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented people to help us grow our services and become even better at what we do.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as engineering authority for non-conformancesAssess, disposition, and perform timely dispositions for nonconforming parts, assemblies, and installations as they arise in the flight test environmentCoordinate dispositioned repairs, as appropriate, with support roles in the organizationProvide technical knowledge and engineering analysis to a multi-disciplinary Northrop Grumman teamAssess, manage, and communicate the team's technical priorities and progress to company and customer senior leadership locally and nationallyEstablish and maintain Material Review Board authority in order to autonomously address the rigors of the roleBasic knowledge of subsystems (electrical, hydraulics, fuels, fluids and propulsion systems) installations, composite structures, & metallic structuresBasic Qualifications (Principal):Basic Qualifications for a Principal Engineer include a Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Aerospace structural design OR an MS degree in STEM with 3 years of related experience OR a PhD in STEMBasic Qualifications for a Sr Principal Engineer include a Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of experience in Aerospace structural design OR an MS degree in STEM with 6 years of related experience OR a PhD in STEM and 3 years of related experienceExperience providing autonomous engineering supportExperience briefing senior leadership on team progress and goalsExperience with the MRB processExperience with the manufacture and repair of composite structuresExperience with the conceptual operation, and troubleshooting of, typical aircraft subsystemsAbility to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.Preferred Qualifications:Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Aerospace EngineeringPrevious MRB/LE Authority for EngineeringExperience with CATIA V5, NX, Visualization Pro, TeamCenter, MES, or other CAD programsExperience working hands-on in a production assembly line environmentExperience with Model Based Engineering (MBE ) (3-D model engineering definition)Excellent written and verbal communication skills, leadership, and problem solving abilitiesExperience in a technical leadership and/or management roleExperience working in an aircraft manufacturing facilityExperience interfacing with a military customerExperience working hands-on in a production assembly line environmentExperience with aircraft structures designExperience with aircraft subsystem designSalary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00Salary Range 2: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
