Job Title: Senior DevOps EngineerJob DescriptionJob DescriptionThis position is onsite in Denver, Colorado.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Sr. DevOps Engineer will own the ideation, design, development, enhancement and continuous improvement of our Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment CI/CD Pipelines.Ideation and design - 50% of timeEvaluate our current CI PipelinesDesign new solutions, leveraging and implementing AWS functionsDesign, develop and constantly improve existing AWS Environments by enhancing our CloudFormation and Terraform scripts.Partner with development team to improve development efficienciesWork with architecture team to ideate and design infrastructure, environment, and CI/CD improvementsGather technical requirement to document Features/Stories/HLDDevelopment Work - 50% of timeEnhance existing Entitlements Server Pipelines to integrate automated end to end testing improving our confidence in every deploymentDevelop end to end design leveraging AWS resourcesDevelop micro services in python/java on AWSPartner with our automation framework team to create CI solutions that improve automated testingIdeate, design and implement enhanced production monitoring across all of our productsCreate new CI/CD Pipelines for new projectsBuild system monitoring Dashboards and KPIsImplement industry and AWS best practices for deployment, monitoring and alertingREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSIndependent self-starting problem solver with a creative passion to develop DevOps solutions with a variety of tools, strategies and techniquesDesign documentation skills.Comfortable writing and prioritizing Agile Epics, Features and StoriesLeads Feature grooming sessions with leadership and other teams.A DevOps thought leader that can contribute to the constant improvement of our processesExperience designing and deploying AWS solutions using EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, Elastic Load Balancer, Auto scaling groups, Cloud FormationWorking knowledge of branching and merging code in GitLabStrong working knowledge of developing CI/CD Pipelines. We use GitLab Runner Pipelines, and strong working knowledge with Jenkins is very transferableWorking understanding of AWS Virtual Private Clouds and AWS Networking.Strong documentation design and communication skillsA desire to “code” automated Pipeline and AWS solutions vs. building them one offStrong working experience of integrating automated end to end testing into CI/CD PipelinesKnowledge of industry best practices for Dev Ops in a Cloud EnvironmentExperience working in an Agile environmentWillingness to mentor and advise other engineering team membersA solid understanding and passion for Continuous Integration and Continuous DeploymentRELATED WORK EXPERIENCE5+ years of experience in Dev OpsProficient with Docker based container deployments to create shelf environments for dev teams and containerization of environment delivery for releases and managed the docker container in Kubernetes clustering.Proficient in AWS Cloud Resources, micro services architectureExperience writing code in python/java, RDB and/or Mongo DBExperience integrating various tools such as Gitlab, JIRA, Confluence, Webex Teams and/or Slack to create seamless automated information sharing.Experience managing and deploying Server releases to Production.Experience supporting and monitoring and developing alerts for Production environments.EDUCATIONBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.Salary:The base salary range for this position is $92,250-$171,321 that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies.
