Join our dedicated rehabilitation team as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), where you'll play a key role in improving the physical, emotional, and social well-being of individuals in our care. Here, your work directly supports patients on their journey to healing and independence.What You'll Do:
- Deliver meaningful, goal-driven recreational therapy to a diverse patient population in an inpatient setting.
- Assess patient needs and create customized treatment plans focused on restoring functional independence.
- Lead therapeutic activities that enhance motor, cognitive, and social skills-both in individual and group formats.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.
- Track progress, document outcomes, and adjust plans to maximize patient success.
- Educate and empower patients and families to continue therapeutic strategies beyond discharge.
- Help create a supportive, uplifting environment that encourages participation and recovery.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited Therapeutic Recreation program.
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) - required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
- CPR certification.
- Valid Ohio driver's license with current proof of insurance.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in therapeutic recreation or a related healthcare setting.
