- Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
- Makes cash application batch entries in HighRadius, Oracle/JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software.
- Prepares miscellaneous deposits.
- Resolves open customer deductions timely via communications with the customer, the Traffic department, and/or supervisor.
- Assists with the monthly close process for accounts receivable to the general ledger, including entering batched journal vouchers and processing invoices and statements.
- Assists in complex customer account reconciliations.
- Responds to customer requests for documents and handles credit reference requests.
- Works closely with Credit Department personnel performing tasks as assigned.
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
- Minimum 2 Year – Associate Degree in accounting, business, or related fields. JDE experience is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivables and general office position in an automated systems environment.
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to analyze facts and to exercise sound judgment in arriving at a conclusion
- Proficient in Microsoft Office365 and computer applications
- Skills in customer service
- Ability to present a friendly and service-oriented attitude
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles. General knowledge of office procedures and practices and ten key-by-touch skills
- Ability to operate a computer
- Ability to maintain confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work under general supervision following standard guidelines, practices, and procedures
- Ability to refer questionable items to supervisor for guidance
