- Strategy and Plans: Develop and implement communication strategies and plans that effectively promote the organization's mission, vision, purpose and promise across the senior leadership team and throughout the organization through external and employee communications programs and activities.
- Executive Communications: Partner with senior executives to develop and manage a leadership team messaging framework and executive content platforms and communication plans and activities (these include but are not limited to writing and producing speeches, talking points, presentations, briefing materials, memorandums etc.).
- Employee Communications: Develop and manage communications programs, plans, and tools to provide relevant and timely information and to foster employee engagement that reinforces our company values and attracts talent (examples include employee value proposition, careers website content, intranet content, employee surveys, sales conference, and company and functional meetings etc.).
- Collaboration: Closely partner with senior executives to understand their communications needs and provide strategic guidance on messaging, tone, and delivery. Work with subject matter experts across various functions to develop relevant and contextual content. Is part of the crisis communication team to plan, advise, and deliver communications as needed.
- Research: Stay updated on market, competitive and industry trends, and best practices to enrich content and communications initiatives. Leverage learnings and conduct listening circles and forums to understand stakeholder sentiment (employees, customers, partners, analysts, and media).
- Success Tracking and Metrics: Use qualitative and quantitative insights to inform communication strategies, tactics, and outcomes.
- This is a hybrid role, requiring you to come into the office to meet with executives you support and with your team. Work for home is available as necessary and desired.
- 10+ years of proven experience in a strategic, executive, and employee communications leadership role in high technology products and services.
- MBA in Marketing, Business or Communications. Will consider BA/BS degree with experience commensurate with level.
- Proven success leading an executive communications at the C-level is a must for this role in addition to employee communications teams and programs.
- Exceptional written storytelling capabilities that appear in all forms of communications, such as: Articles, speeches, PowerPoint presentations, scripts, memos, social media etc.
- Demonstrated experience at managing tools, processes, calendars, and systems for supporting communications plans and programs.
- Both a big-picture strategic thinker, with the ability to translate quantitative and qualitative insights into communications strategies, and a highly organized "doer," with a data-driven mentality and a bias toward action.
- Proven track record of delivering results by producing high-quality, clear content, a demonstrated ability to earn and maintain trust across stakeholders, and insist on highest quality standards for quality, and attention to detail while managing a team and working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Curious about new programs and initiatives impacting our customers, partners, and employees and possess the ability to ask the right questions.
- Successful track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams on strategy development and execution with the ability to lead through influence to gain buy-in from stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills and ability to speak and write concisely and effectively, adapting messages to a range of audiences.
- Comfortable taking risks and raising the bar for new ways of doing things.
