Our programs support multiple Federal agencies, the Department of Defense and often focused on the space initiatives of our government customers.I2X Technologies is seeking a Solaris Systems Administrator to support ongoing activities for a customer in Colorado Springs, CO. This position will be *on-site* and will require an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
  • Participate in the implementation, maintenance, and support of information technologies, to include Solaris (primarily), Red Hat Linux, and Windows systems and components
  • Schedule and perform installations and upgrades to OS/COTs, software, and database packages in accordance with established IT policies and procedures
  • Support the overall integration on new development systems as they transition to sustainment
  • Manage appropriate software solutions to ensure server data integrity, monitoring and tuning the system to achieve optimum performance level, monitoring security alerts and application systems, and working with other staff to ensure that all appropriate patches are applied
  • Develop scripts using Z-Shell, C-Shell, Perl, or other similar tools to improve administration automation
  • Develop and apply cybersecurity solutions utilizing current DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure high compliance status is met
Qualifications
  • Active DOD TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Must Meet DOD 8570 Requirement (current Security+ or similar)
  • Minimum 5 years VMWare, Oracle VM, Hyper-V or other virtualization platform experience
  • Scripting experience required
  • Solaris patching experience
  • Linux engineering and administration
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity practices (virus protection, applying vendor critical patches, system accreditation, etc.)
  • General understanding of ClearQuest and/or ClearCase
  • Experience with Database installations or configurations
  • Git pipelines/support/versioning
  • Docker/Kubernetes/containerization
  • Ansible/other automation engineering
  • Comfortable with virtualized environments
