Job Category: Clinician CareJob Description:RHSC welcomes applications for the Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant Supervisor of the fast-paced Emergency Departments at Regions Hospital (Level I Trauma Center), Lakeview Hospital (Level III Trauma Center), and Hudson Hospital (Level IV Trauma Center). This role will split time between supervision and clinical responsibilities.The Supervisor manages, supervises, hires, orients, schedules, and evaluates all full time and part time Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants. This position is a key leader on the department management team, and leads interdepartmental committees. The Supervisor provides oversight for the EM PA student program, maintains credentialing for PAs, and develops relationships with hospital administration, medical, nursing, and ancillary leadership.Work Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday during business hours (administration responsibilities) plus Emergency Department clinical schedule rotation.
Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
  • Three years of recent experience practicing as a Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine.
  • DEA eligibility (verified during credentialing).
  • Physician Assistant certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Current Minnesota and Wisconsin Physician Assistant licensure.
  • ACLS/ATLS.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Five years of experience in ED/Emergency Medicine or urgent care.
  • Experience in Emergency Medicine clinical care at a Level I Trauma Center.
  • Two years of management experience.
  • Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Emergency Medicine through NCCPA.
  • Advanced training in Emergency Medicine.
Additional Information:This is a non-union 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) day/evening position working in Saint Paul, MN, Stillwater, MN, and Hudson, WI. The full salary range for this position is $123,780.80-$191,859.20 annually, based on experience. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is eligible for benefits.
