- Maintain constant communication with ZF Tech Reps. In field to obtain real-time “Voice of the customer” feedback.
- Provide onsite location customer technical support for issues pertaining to fit, finish or operating performance of seat belt, airbag, steering wheel systems.
- Assist with customer quality initial reject responses as well as third party containment activities.
- Support problem solving activity (8-D) deliverables between assembly plants and engineering center.
- Coordinate and present corrective action presentations to customer assembly plants as well as their customer engineering centers.
- Communicate with top management with key information pertaining to customer production interruptions / yard holds / walk-backs /quality campaigns.
- Negotiate with customers for the reduction or elimination of Parts-Per-Million data / Non-conformance tickets / excessive containment activities.
- Conduct onsite ZF plant internal quality systems / line walk audits prior to initial launch and SOP for new programs.
- Assist with the development of APQP documents / processes using “voice of the customer” feedback from quality concerns.
- Provide “Technical Quality Expertise” for CV, DV, PV, product & process development. (Manufacturing process knowledge a plus !)
- Bachelors Degree; 5+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing / supplier quality / customer quality / research and development
- Proficient in the development, interpretation, and use of APQP tools & practices.
- Proficient in the development, interpretation, and use of GD & T tools & practices.
- Ability to diagnose and root-cause technical and process issues.
- Ability to understand & communicate technical Quality / Manufacturing techniques and principals.
- Travel required approximately 10% within North America and Mexico.
- ASQ certifications (a plus)
