Job Title: Electrical Drafter
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer responsible for the implementation of projects from inception to completion. The role involves designing, implementing, maintaining, and improving electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems.Responsibilities
  • Manage electrical elements of projects from design to completion.
  • Update drawings and make changes for controls panel.
  • Create, develop, and manage electrical systems and components.
  • Design electrical controls panels.
  • Order materials necessary for project completion.
  • Develop and refine current standards.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in electrical design and drafting using AutoCAD.
  • Experience with electrical design and integration in an industrial setting for P&ID and control panel schematics.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency with 2D AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with UL Standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in AutoCAD electrical design is preferred.
  • 3D modeling experience would be a plus.
  • Experience in bidding jobs/projects is preferred.
  • Ability to establish and implement standards, including SOPs and AutoCAD best practices.
  • Experience as a lead or senior designer, capable of guiding others, is ideal.
Work EnvironmentThis is a smaller, privately owned company where management is onsite. The facility is a brick and mortar location where engineers will spend significant time on concepting and engineering work. The company services various industries including agriculture, grain handling, chemical processing, metals, discreet manufacturing, and pet foods. There is a strong emphasis on autonomy, with engineers given the freedom to own projects from start to finish. The position is hourly, with overtime eligibility for hours worked over 40.
