- Lead, manage, and oversee assigned design and construction projects from initiation through completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate closely with clients, field teams, estimators, subcontractors, and internal leadership to align expectations and maintain project momentum.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, risks, and any deviations from the original plan, which includes submitting change orders to the client for the additional scope of work.
- Oversee procurement of materials; monitor weekly job costs and productivity hours.
- Ensure timely communication regarding project schedules, scope changes, known issues, and milestone adjustments.
- Review the performance and impact of subcontractors on jobsite timelines and deliverables.
- Participate in weekly Operations Meetings to discuss project cost tracking, percent-complete status, labor needs, change orders, T&M ticket status, and potential problem areas.
- Maintain ongoing communication with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors via phone, email, or in-person as needed.
- Document all project activities in ProCore Sharepoint, email, and formal correspondence-covering issues, meeting summaries, scope changes, and change orders.
- Keep the President and Head Estimator informed of critical project developments, including material delays, deadline extensions, potential liabilities, contractor correspondence, and legal involvement if applicable.
- Identify and develop new B2B business opportunities in the Minneapolis/Twin Cities area.
- Conduct outreach through networking, cold calling, trade association involvement, and other lead generation strategies.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Partner with the estimating team to develop accurate and competitive bids.
- Build and nurture a network of industry contacts to support long-term sales pipeline development.
- Achieve or exceed established sales targets and KPIs.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in estimating, selling, and managing mechanical projects, service work, and preventive maintenance agreements.
- Demonstrated success in driving process standardization and implementing best practices.
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and customer-focused, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and follow-through.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a collaborative work environment. Brings integrity, professionalism, and a sense of humor to team interactions.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to travel regionally as required.
