Account Manager, Team Sports Sponsorship (Payment Services Client)

- Build and cultivate positive client relationships
- Serve as a reliable agency contact for client sponsorship team, internal client departments and agency partners
- Lead day-to-day management of NY-based partnerships along with other client initiatives across the country
- Develop, coordinate and implement integrated sponsorship activations and events, initiatives and campaigns using client's sponsorship portfolio and assets
- Support MLB partnership, including integrated programming
- Support and grow key relationships with property partners and vendors
- Communicate and implement yearly client objectives and strategy
- Supervise website-driven partnership content/offers with property partners
- Manage approvals for creative, advertising, marketing and media integration
- Prepare program documentation and wrap-up reports including results tracking for season and key events
- Manage and participate in weekly status meetings by crafting agendas, driving the discussion, and providing recap summaries
- Assist in asset management (i.e., audit compliance, ticket allocations, and financial tracking)
- Keep an eye on new business opportunities and monitor industry news and trends
- Travel as necessary including weekend and/or holidays as needed, around 20% and mostly within the NY market
- 5+ years of experience, in the entertainment, sports sponsorship properties/leagues/teams/clubs, or event marketing industries; Payment Services industry experience/knowledge a plus
- A strong background in client-facing roles, preferably with increasing responsibility
- Deep understanding of the sports sponsorship space
- Capacity to become knowledgeable on our client's industry, brand, and product offering
- Experience in creating exceptional integrated marketing programming
- Property management experience including: evaluation, negotiation, legal and partner management
- A keen sense of what is going on in the New York area with the ability to provide current trending recommendations
- Attentiveness to detail; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while producing quality work within strict timelines
- Strong self-starter with excellent team dynamics; outstanding sense to be proactive and jump in wherever needed
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team while also able to tackle problems effectively and independently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
- Exceptional work ethic, strong desire to succeed, and willingness to learn - intellectually curious
- Extraordinary proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
- A “no job is too small” attitude
