PAY RATE: $71.59/hourWe are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.Job Details:Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)Shift: 4/10A 1st ShiftClearance: Interim Secret required to start; Active Secret preferredIndustry: Aerospace / Defense / AviationBenefits: Medical, dental, and vision (Cigna)Perks: Bonus potential + Priority access via Tier 1 supplierOpenings Nationwide: Thousands of opportunities across the U.S.Qualifying Questions:Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations?Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?Summary:Seeking an experienced engineer to join the MBSE team within the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Center of Excellence (COE).Operate under the Integration, Test, and Evaluation (IT&E) directorate, developing and maintaining MBSE architecture models to support current and future HWIL capabilities.Lead system architecture and modeling efforts, ensuring MBSE models are current, accurate, and aligned with program needs.Develop and manage requirements and system models for current and next-gen RF and IR capabilitiesCreate IBDs, BDDs, Use Cases, Functional Diagrams, and other architectural views using MBSE toolsMaintain and update system models using SysML, UML, or domain-specific languagesApply MBSE principles to ensure systems are designed and developed model-basedCoordinate with HWIL engineers, system product owners, and cross-functional teamsPerform system analysis and simulations, including performance, reliability, and trade studiesDevelop and maintain model-based testing approaches to verify system behaviorEnsure model consistency, accuracy, and traceability; manage model changesBuild MBSE Starter Kits and training content for Cameo modelingProvide training and support on MBSE principles, practices, and toolsRequirements:Interim Secret required to start; Active Secret preferredBachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline5+ years professional experience in MBSE using CameoExperience with Open System Architecture (OSA) principles and SysML-based toolsStrong skills in system functionality definition, state diagrams, operational modes, and requirements decompositionAbility to synthesize and implement system architectures across multiple HWIL systemsFamiliarity with requirements tracking tools (DOORs, Cameo, or similar)Knowledge of systems engineering processes and lifecycleMust be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).Desired Skills:Experience collaborating with cross-discipline teams to derive and decompose complex requirementsExposure to digital engineering environments (MBSE, digital twin)Background in system-of-systems architecture and model-based designExperience with operational modeling tools and formal verification processesAbout Us:The Structures Company is a premier national aerospace and defense staffing agency specializing in contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire placements.
