Position Summary:Seeking a hands-on, service-oriented technician with a desire to grow into a Field Service Engineer (FSE) role. This position involves ATS startups, modifications, and handling warranty/emergency service calls.Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently perform ATS preventive maintenance, startup, and basic troubleshooting
  • Understand and verify communication protocols (Modbus, TCP/IP) for Russelectric equipment
  • Write Method of Procedures (MOPs) for ATS modifications/startups
  • Provide timely, professional field reports to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Accurately track time and expenses
  • Assist with installation of 480VAC/12.47KVAC systems, ATS, switchgear, circuit breakers, and generator controls
  • Support field startups, warranty repairs, and preventive maintenance contracts
  • Ensure safety compliance on all job sites
  • Remain on-call 24/7 as needed
  • Provide technical support and client communication with strong customer service focus
  • Negotiate scope changes and associated charges
  • Travel requirement: Up to 80%
Basic Qualifications:
  • 3+ years in Field Service Engineering
  • Training in electrical theory/technologies or relevant military experience
  • Experience with power distribution, AC/DC systems, and voltage circuit theory
  • Diesel power generation controls experience (including paralleled systems)
  • Strong electrical background: low voltage to medium voltage systems
  • Schematic and blueprint reading for power/automation systems
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. permanently without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years Field Service Engineering experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong ATS (Automated Transfer Switches) knowledge
  • Familiarity with industry codes/standards
  • Effective in client relations and project management
  • Excellent decision-making and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with strong customer satisfaction commitment
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
