- Manage the design and review of roadway and utility plans for residential development projects.
- Design preliminary residential layouts, grading plans, and utility plans for project feasibility studies.
- Review preliminary site plans and improvement plans for municipal code compliance, constructability, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and conduct quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and adherence to project standards.
- Review and interpret technical reports including geotechnical, traffic, and environmental studies.
- Lead efforts to obtain plan approvals and permits from various municipalities and government agencies in an efficient and timely manner.
- Maintain organized records of all permits, plan approvals, due diligence documentation, and project correspondence.
- Review and facilitate the approval and recording of plats in coordination with local municipalities.
- Collaborate with internal legal counsel to review surveys and mitigate title or survey-related risks impacting land development.
- Collaborate with external engineering consultants to ensure design accuracy, alignment with project goals, and timely submittals.
- Attend planning and zoning meetings to represent development interests and facilitate project approvals.
- Mentor team members, promoting collaboration and ensuring that project milestones, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- 5+ years of experience in land development or a related field with progressively increasing responsibility.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred, but not required.
