One of Vaco’s clients is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join their Finance and Accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels in financial reporting and data analysis, and enjoys leveraging technology to drive efficiency and insights.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI and SAP Business Objects. This position requires a proactive mindset, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to support both routine financial operations and strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.Key Responsibilities:
· Monthly Close & Reporting: Manage the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis.
· Intercompany & Allocations: Prepare intercompany allocations and billings accurately and in a timely manner.
· Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing meaningful insights to guide decision-making.
· Financial & Sales Analysis: Generate and analyze sales and financial reports, ensuring data integrity across multiple systems. Interpret data trends to support business strategies.
· Reporting Tools & Dashboards: Maintain and enhance existing reporting tools, and design custom dashboards and reports in SAP Business Objects and Power BI to enable data-driven decision-making.
· Process Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting and reporting processes. Assist in implementing automation tools and promoting best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
· Compliance & Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures, contributing to a strong control environment.
· Special Projects & Ad Hoc Analysis: Support various strategic initiatives, special projects, and financial analysis as needed.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· 4+ years of experience in financial analysis or accounting roles.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) and strong experience with Power BI and SAP Business Objects.
· Familiarity with ERP systems
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
· Excellent organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
