Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients in an inpatient setting.
  • Diagnose and treat a range of mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety, psychotic disorders, and more.
  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and therapists, to ensure holistic care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment plans and mental health management.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) with Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification.
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New Jersey, CDS, and DEA.
  • Board certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (PMHNP-BC).
  • Experience in inpatient psychiatric care preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts as needed.
