- Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- One to three years maintenance work experience in an industrial setting maintaining DI water system or water service company.
- Ability to use business software packages including Microsoft (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint). Blue Mountain CMMS experience would be a plus.
- Current SC Wastewater license preferred. Acquiring a D license will be required if one has no SC Wastewater license.
- Hands-on work on industrial pure water systems: RO, mixed beds, EDI, or distillation columns.
- Confined Entry Certification.
- 40 Hour Hazwoper Training.
- OSHA General industry training.
As the Facilities Maintenance Water Technician, you will be responsible for performing skilled and complex daily activities in the maintenance, repair, and construction of USP facilities and other Physical/Chemical waste structures.
- Performs daily preventative and corrective maintenance to mechanical and electrical equipment related to manufacturing support systems focusing on water purification systems.
- Performs instrumentation, electrical and computerized system troubleshooting and repairs with assistance of Plant and/or vendor engineering.
- Maintain, repair and trouble shoot pure water systems and equipment within the facility.
- Perform routine maintenance on water purification equipment including DI/Carbon exchange, Reverse Osmosis and EDI equipment.
- Perform filter changes and water sanitization procedures.
- Schedule and maintain all records for Vendor work output.
- Maintain neat and orderly work areas including logbooks and system documentation.
- Review and follow safety procedures for all equipment. Comply with company policies and OSHA.
- Familiarity with cGMP, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
- Perform preventive, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance, safety checks, repairs, installations, and modifications on Facilities equipment.
- Neutralize and treat Physical/Chemical waste.
- Performs other maintenance duties as requested such as:
- Supports equipment validation activities.
- Provides mechanical support to manufacturing, packaging, and utilities projects and teams.
- Performs any other activity when required based on business needs, not necessarily in their assigned area of expertise.
