- Directs personnel engaged in receiving/shop inspection and testing activities throughout production cycles to ensure continuous control over materials, of Code and non-code products.
- Oversee and collect quality related documentation throughout the manufacturing process.
- Responsible for calibration program for inspection, measuring and test equipment.
- Ensuring finished goods and products meet and or exceed company standards as well as customer specifications.
- Reports inspection results, issues NCR’s and corrective action plans as required.
- Participate in facility renewal audits: ISO 9001, ASME U, National Board Boilers & Pressure Vessels Inspectors R Stamp, Korean Gas Safety, DNV Authorization Of Manufacturer, and Bureau of Veritas Mode II.
- Inspect welded sub-assemblies and assemblies at designated points of the manufacturing process of ASME hold points.
- Plans, manages, and improves workflow through the quality control processes.
- Interfaces with manufacturing to coordinate required inspection agencies on witness/hold points for quality control processes.
- Responsible for streamlining the NCR / MRB process for the facility and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence amongst the entire facility leadership team.
- Be a liaison between quality and supply chain department to lead supplier quality investigations, conversations, approvals, and elevating supplier quality performance.
- Bachler’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and or technical degree from a four-year college/university or have significant work experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, welding and/or metal fabrication preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience and training related to ASME Codes for Pressure Vessels preferred
- Familiar with continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma and ISO 9001 a plus
- Ensure a Safe Work Environment and Understanding of Pneumatic Pressure Testing
- Experience in Inspection or quality technician/specialist in ASME pressure vessel and process piping.
- Working knowledge of ASME BPVC Section II, V, VIII and IX preferred
- Understanding of advanced technical and shop mathematical concepts.
- High-level of visual awareness and attention to detail.
- Advanced organizational and multitasking skills.
- Experience drafting detailed reports and collating data.
- 3+ years of experience in working with Quality systems, programs, audits and procedures.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other managers and departments including customers regarding quality questions.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
